Ultrasound 4D, which is three-dimensional ultrasonography (3D) in real time, is based on obtaining images at three levels, differing from the traditional 2D, which provides images on two levels.

Allows the early diagnosis of malformations that are not observed in ultrasound 2D conventional.

There is no risk to the health of the woman or the fetus.

Markedly decreases the anxiety of the pregnant woman, to clearly identify the anatomical structures of the fetus, providing tranquillity to the mother.

What do we see in the ultrasound 4D?

To be in real time, are distinguished, moreover, gestures and movements of the fetus during the ultrasound.

You can capture simultaneously head movements, the body and the extremities in three dimensions and in 360-degree rotation, allowing study what are the stages of development and anatomic engine of the fetuses.

From 15 weeks gestation, this type of technique allows to assess patterns of behavior and movements: smooth, hiccups, breathing, movements of the arms and legs, suction, yawning…, which allows you to observe how development occurs neurophysiological of the fetus.

During the third quarter, must be added the eye movements and body: blinking, movement of mouth…, acquiring the fetus, around 31 weeks and behaviors of newborn. It was also added at this stage of gestation, the pattern of the fetal heart rate.
